Dress-Up with Daddy!

Mommy had a meeting after church so Daddy and I played dress-up while she was gone. She came home to me looking like this!! I LOVE MY DADDY!!!

He got out all of the necklaces he used to wear and cut up an old t-shirt...
Oh, and some of mommy's heels! I thought this was the best thing ever!

Yay for ME!!!! I'm a big girl!

I slept in my big girl bed all by myself and made it through the whole night!! I am such a big girl!! Daddy laid in bed with me until I fell asleep so I played with him for about an hour in there. He had his eyes closed and I would just stare at him and get right in his face and laugh if he opened them. I loved it! I have always been good about falling asleep on my own but this was a real treat and I thought I would take advantage of it.

Once I finally fell asleep, Daddy slipped out of my room and I flipped around all night all over the bed but didn't wake up until morning. Woohoo! I have been sleeping in my big girl bed ever since...for naps and night time. Mommy and Daddy are SOOOOOO proud of me!

Mommy took a picture of me when I woke up the next morning. The flash of the camera was a litte bright but I didn't care. I was happy as can be when I woke up!

I love being a big girl but mommy thinks it is a litte bittersweet. :(

Grandma and Mike stop by

Grandma Cindy and Mike stopped by for a visit! I had the best time. I hadn't seen Mike in a while and I always really like playing with him. He is so funny!! Just look at him in this picture!! Yay!

It was so great to see Grandma, too. We went out for pizza and played. Grandma even got to rock me to sleep for my nap for the first time ever. I am just now starting to like to be rocked so that is the reason for the delay. I played with her earrings for a while and chatted first but then I fell asleep. Thanks Grandma!
We even played with my babies and I showed off my new play kitchen!

Just 8 weeks until mommy's due date!!!

I can't believe I will be a big sister in approximately 8 weeks!!! I cannot wait!! ;)

Cutting down a tree and playing with horses

Daddy told Aunt Luann he would help her cut down a tree in her back yard to make some room for her new addition so he brought along lots of help! Well, Uncle Mark helped a ton and mommy, Aunt Kari and I watched and played with Jackie's horses. Jackie wasn't home but we still had fun. :( We missed you Jackie.

I got to chase Brutus and I did a really good job going up and down the stairs on the porch.

It was a beautiful evening so mommy, daddy and I went over to Aunt Kari and Uncle Mark's for burgers on the grill. Well, I guess I had macaroni and cheese but that's ok. We ate outside and enjoyed the nice weather. I played with Uncle Mark...

Finally....some time at the park!

It has been so hot this summer that we really haven't spent a lot of time outdoors. We have especially avoided the park since Spring but it was finally cool enough for us to go back! I love the park too and watching the other kids. I like to swing, run around, and go down the slides!

My Big Girl Room is Ready!!!

Well, my new big girl room is ready for me!! Yippee!! Since the last room update, Mommy and Daddy finished the trim work, put up blinds and curtains, added wanscotting under the window, put in a new door knob and got the closet ready for me. The only thing it is missing now is my dresser that was mommy's growing up. It is still at Pappaw Dan's and we need to make a trip to Wells County to get it!

Check out these pictures! I haven't slept in my new bed yet but mommy is attempting to put me in it for naps before I sleep in it through the night. Monday didn't work out so well, so she is going to try again tomorrow. I love to play in my bed and my new room!

My New Play Kitchen!!!

Earlier this month, mommy and daddy got me a real suprise. A play kitchen of my very own with tons of food, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. They knew I would love it because I have played with some of my friends' kitchens that were the same one. It has buttons that make noise by the microwave and oven, a special skillet that makes frying noises and lights up so it really looks and sounds like you are frying something real, and a pan that makes boiling noises. I just enjoy it so much. It goes very well with my table and chairs from Pappaw!

Oh, and it came with two grocery shopping carts! Sometimes I like to get in the carts like this!! ;)

Toy Store Visit

We went out for pizza and then Daddy wanted to take me to the toy store. So, we all went and had fun looking around at all of the toys! Daddy thought it would be fun to fill my cart with stuffed animals!

We didn't get any of them but I had fun being surrounded by them for a litte bit!! ;)

Surprise Sleepover at Grammy's!

Mommy, Daddy and I were a litte bored and wanted to surprise Grammy. So, daddy had the idea of taking Wrigley and some movies and going there to spend the night. Grammy had no idea we were coming so it made for a nice Friday night surprise. Mommy and Daddy hadn't ever spent the night there since we live so close to each other now. It was fun...but I woke up at 3:30 AM and refused to go back to sleep. So, none of us really got a full night's sleep!

Grammy made us breakfast in the early morning, rocked me and watched cartoons with me!

Oh yeah, Austin, Aunt Susan and Uncle Matt came over too but they didn't spend the night since they live in the same neighborhood. It was a bast!! Austin even let me wear his frog rain boots!! Aren't they great with my PJs???

Austin wanted daddy to rock him! It was so cute!

Lunch with Miss Mitten

Mommy and I met Emily for lunch at a pizza joint to celebrate her birthday! It is always great to see Emily!!

My new table from Pappaw

Pappaw stopped by for a bit on Sunday to drop off my table and chairs he made for me. This was a Christmas present that he needed to put together and stain since it was all unfinished. It is beautiful and I love it!!! I made Pappaw pretend milkshakes and we had a nice conversation at the table. Thanks Pappaw!! You're the best!

Turner Family Reunion

We went to the bi-annual Turner Family Reunion on Daddy's side today for the first time and got to meet lots of relatives I hadn't met before. The Turner side is Grandma Betty's siblings and their family's. It was really hot and humid outside but it was fun to see new people and eat lots of yummy food...including homemade ice cream!

Here is Grandma Betty with her siblings. Grandma Betty is the oldest at 89 years old and her youngest sibling, Ray is 73! In the picture starting from the top left is Helen (Jo), Bob, Ray, Grandma Betty and Margaret (Maggie). They were all so cute!
