Special Visits During the Week

Mommy and I made a quick trip back to Wells county during the week to say hi to a few special people/ places. Unfortunately, our camera battery was dead for the first part of the trip so Mommy didn't get to take pictures of everyone we saw.
First, we went to Bummies in Bluffton for some spanish dogs! Then, we stopped at Grandma Cindy's to say hi to Grandma and Mike (and to pick up the camera charger we left there when Jan was home in March). We helped them put the paddleboat in the pond for the season and Grandma even picked a pretty tulip for me. I demolished it pretty quickly though. :( Her flowers were jut gorgeous. She also showed us the asparagus growing in her garden and I had some strawberries for a snack.

Next, we drove to Warren to see Great Grandma Betty in the nursing home's healthcare wing. She had a bad pinched nerve in her back a few weeks ago and couldn't do anything on her own. She is now in the assisted living section and will get to go home next week! She looked good and was happy to see us. Her 89th birthday is this Friday!!
Our next stop was Grandpa Dan's house. We had planned to eat at Mommy's favorite mexican joint for dinner (Bandido's), but our plans changed when Grandpa's Dog, Mickey went missing. Thank goodness he showed up a couple days later at a good samaritan's house. He is back home safe and sound!
Wednesday morning, we went over to Great Grandma Oswalt's house for lunch. She made us corn from the garden, mashed potatoes, green beans, noodles, fried chicken and cupcakes for dessert. It was great to see her. Mommy was able to charge the camera overnight at Grandpa's house so here are some pictures of us at Grandma O's.
I really liked my cupcake!
Great Grandma Oswalt

Next time, we hope to see Great Grandma Cookie and Don as well as Great Grandma Susie and Wilbur! Sorry we missed you all this time around! We love you!

Grandma Cindy's Visit

Grandma Cindy came to visit us over the weekend! We love when she comes to visit but not because she always cleans up our landscaping! ;) She loves to work outside and make everything look pretty. We really appreciate it but most of all, we just like spending time with her.
I even thought I could help by mowing the lawn.....well, I didn't actually get to mow. BUT - climbing on anything and everything is my favorite thing to do right now. So, of course I love to climb up on the mower, sit in the seat and try to turn the key. Don't worry...Mommy and Daddy are always right there to make sure I don't fall or actually turn it on!
I love the SPRING!
And, I love helping my Grandma!!
...AND MY DAD!

Grammy Jo even came over to visit. What a great weekend!!

Zoo Day

We spent the beautiful day at the zoo today and it was SOOOOO much fun! We couldn't have asked for a better day weather-wise to see the animals and exhibits. The car thermometer said it was 86 on our way home. EIGHTY SIX at the beginning of April!!! Yippee!!
Jackie spent a couple days with us during her Spring Break, so it was Mommy, Jackie and I at the zoo.
Penguins are COOL!
LOOK AT THAT POLAR BEAR! He was playing with the big barrell like it was his chew toy.
We even saw farm animals! This white goat reminded mommy of her goat she had growing up. His name was Speedy because he was born on the Indy 500 Race Day that year. Daddy had a goat when he was growing up too...his name was Billy....very creative Dad!! ;)
The Rhinos are SOOOO big!
I was excited a lot!
Jackie took a ride on a roller coaster and we got to watch her since we couldn't go too.
So, when she finished her ride she pretended to ride again with me in the sitting car.
Then, we played on the playground. I love playgrounds even if there are much bigger kids running around and who are not worrying about knocking me down.
Jackie took me down the enclosed tube slide....AND I LOVED IT!!!
Here I am in the dolphin exhibit. I am looking in at the tank. Do you see a dolphin? We watched a dolphin show too and it was really cool to see how smart they are.
I even had fun playing in the coat racks. Thankfully, it was so beautiful outside that there are no coats!
If this doesn't show you how much fun I had, then I don't know what will!
I was E-X-H-A-U-S-T-E-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easter Sunday 2010

Happy Easter Everyone!!! On Easter Sunday, Mommy, Daddy, Grammy and I went to our church to learn about Jesus rising from the dead. Then, Grammy had all of us at her house for dinner and fun.
Austin and I had a good time being silly in our new bunny ears.
Great Grandma Susie and Wilbur came too. Doesn't Grandma look so great!!! She is doing so well after her stroke last November. We are blessed to have her in our lives.

Uncle Mark's brother John came too since his parents are in Florida. It was great to have him.
Aunt Kari is showing Uncle Mark her old dance pictures from when Mommy, Susan and she were younger. He liked those!!
Austin and I even got our own table. We are getting so big!
After I finished I moved up to the big "kid" table!
Then, we played outside since it was so nice!! There is a video at the bottom of us playing too.
We opened up our Easter baskets and I got my first barbie doll!! Grammy's dog Jezi also had her eye on her.
Look at all of these Easter eggs. Austin and I got $5 in quarters from them. Thanks Grammy!
Grammy is showing me some pictures she took. Cool! Now, I just need to learn how to use the camera.

The Evil Easter Bunny and My First Egg Hunt

Well, I got to meet the Easter Bunny for the first time today and we didn't hit it off so well! I DID NOT LIKE HIM AT ALL!!! Neither did Austin! Daddy put me on his lap and I didn't think I wanted to....then about a second later...I KNEW I didn't want to be anywhere near him. He is scary! Just look at him!
AHHHHHHHHHHH! GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!!!
Austin saw me crying and he knew he didn't want to sit on his lap. So, his mommy sat with him. He was still shaking and crying though. (Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Susan just laughed the whole time....mean!)
I was better when I was on my mom's lap but still not digging the Easter Bunny. Maybe next year?
My daddy and I
Austin waiting for the Egg Hunt
It was really chilly the day of the hunt and of course it started pouring down rain right before we started.
Look at all these eggs. We live in an AWESOME town! They do so much fun stuff for kids and families. We had our own egg hunt group - Age 1 and under. The other age groups had baseball diamonds full of eggs. So cool!!
Hmmm....what I am supposed to be doing?
Hey, Austin! Get me some eggs!
