Vivi's 15 month stats

Vivi's check-up was another success! She has really slowed down and Dr. Champley showed us the curve she has been on since she was born to prove it!

Weight: 23 lbs (51st percentile)

Length: 31 3/4 inches (83rd percentile)

Head: 47.4 cm (86th percentile)

She is REALLY keeping us busy these days with all of her climbing. This is a very fun age with all of her new milestones. Here are a few things she has accomplished recently:

12/31 - says "vroom, vroom" when driving her cozy coupe car or matchbox cars

1/8 - says "moo" for cow and snorts like a pig

1/16 - points to her eyes and mouth

1/17 - stood on a chair at the kitchen table for the first time (YIKES)

1/20 - climbed and fell out of her crib (DOUBLE YIKES)

1/21 - knows belly button

1/25 - says "book, book, book" for book...also knows what a purse is and if you tell her to get it she does....and then she waves "bye-bye" (so cute)

2/7 - her 7th tooth popped through

Vivi loves to dance and when you tell her to spin and put her arms up, she definitely imitates your every move. ADORABLE! She and Audrey are really starting to play together more now...hugging, hitting, kissing, pushing!

She is also starting to throw some tantrums....arching her back and making her body like a limp noodle when she doesn't get what she wants. Argh! Already?!?! ;) I think the second one learns it sooner than the first because they see the older sibling doing it! She gets pretty frustrated when you don't understand what she wants or what she is trying to tell/show you....but when you figure it out she is very excited! LOVE her expressions.

Vivi has always been super laid back and still is for the most part. She is still great to take to the store but I can definitely see changes coming. It's ok! We love her no matter what and are so blessed with two beautiful girls!

NO RAILS!!!

Yay!! I really am a big girl. Today we got rid of my bed rails because I just don't need them anymore. I started sleeping in my big girl bed when I was only 19 months old and at 3, I am completely FREE! ;) Except for the video camera hanging above! ha! Mommy only has it on my channel when she isn't using it for Vivi.

So proud of our little girl, AUDREY!! So far, she has only fallen out once since we took the rails away. It was in the middle of the night and she screamed and cried, but mommy ran in and put her back in bed...then she was fine.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is mommy's 32nd birthday! We are gonna play all day and then go have some mexican food for dinner!

I sang "happy birthday" to mommy for weeks before, during and after her special day!! (thanks sweetie)
Susan, Matt, Austin, Kari, Mark and Grammy all went to dinner with us.

Hi Austin!

Let me tell you something, Grammy...

"I want to give you a hug!"

Mmmmm...Vivi is eating her chips and cheese!

I got to wear the birthday hat!

Vivi didn't want to wear it.

Wait...where did I go??

Go IU!

We went to Austin's house to watch IU play. Mommy gave us all matching hair!

Go Hoosiers!!

A birthday lunch with Pappaw

Pappaw wanted to take mommy and Aunt Susan out for a birthday lunch, so we went to Arni's for some food and fun!

Austin and I shared a few knee bounces while we waited for our table.
Thanks for lunch Pappaw!!

Coats and Climbing

Vivi is pretty much "obsessed" with two different things right now.

1. Wearing her coat and it doesn't matter if we even go anywhere. She will chase you around the house with it, point to the closet and even say "coat". Once you get it out or she sees it she starts flapping her arms like she is going to fly away and starts squeeking with excitement. Today, she also wore daddy's hat around with her coat.

2. She is a climber!! She climbs on EVERYTHING!! She climbed and fell out of her crib for the first time recently. She climbs onto the table chairs and onto the table. Climbs on chairs in Audrey's room and pulls everything off the shelves. Climbs on stools and even climbs on chairs that she can't pull out and gets stuck as seen below.

Audrey thought she would imitate her after I took Vivi's picture! ha!

Good-time Sisters

I love my sister! We do everything together...even lay on the couch on a lazy day with our new pillow pets and homemade blankets!

We play in the snow together...Vivi's first time actually playing in the snow and trying to walk around in it.

I think she liked it!

So did I, but that wind sure took our breath away.

I even made a snow angel!

Oh, and we also play in laundry baskets together!!

Christmas Present from Gary

Gary got all of us gift cards to eat at Sullivan's Steak House for Christmas. He wanted to get Grammy's kids together with his kids so they could meet. Vivi and I stayed home while Pappaw babysat for us.

Mommy and everyone else had a great time!

Mommy didn't fit in the group picture so she took one of herself...silly mom!

They told the waiter that it was Gary's birthday...that wasn't true and the waiter new it but he still brought him dessert with a lit candle. ha!

Megan's Baby Bump

Mommy went to Bloomington to spend the day with the GNG girls and to see Megan while she was in town. Megan is due with her first baby at the end of January, but she and her husband drove from Waco, Texas for Christmas in Indiana before welcoming their baby boy. It is not very often any more that the girls ALL get together but all 9 are together here. They ate lunch at one of their favorite Bloomington spots...Yogi's.

After lunch, they went back to Emily Harrison's house to visit for a while. They also got to see baby June (10 months) and her big brother, Max.

Megan was all baby and definitely had a glow!
Xavier was there, too and he had fun playing with Max.

Vivi and I stayed home with Daddy and played in the snow! He even drove us around behind the mower on our sled. Mommy wasn't there to get any pictures though. :(

Christmas at Grammy's on New Year's Day

Once again, we were all very spoiled! We weren't able to all get together for Christmas with Grammy until January 1st so we also celebrated Aunt Susan's birthday again! We had quite the feast with Grammy's homemade noodles (always a favorite), mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, a ham, turkey, peppermint cheesecake, and tons of cookies and other goodies!! YUM! Thanks Grammy!
