Fishers Summer Concert #1 - BBI

We went to our first Summer Concert thrown by our town of Fishers. The concerts are free and they are every Tuesday night during the summer. This concert was BBI which was a band from Sawyer, Indiana. They were pretty good and sang a lot of songs that we all knew. It was a gorgeous evening so we made the most of it. Daddy didn't get to join us because he was tired from work. So, we went with Grammy, Uncle Mark and Aunt Kari. Can't wait for our next one!

My First Trip to Bloomington

Our friend Emily and Max just moved back to Indiana from Chicago and are living in Bloomington. Mommy and I made our first trip down to see them and enjoy their new pool! It was so much fun!! We also got to eat at Yogi's - one of Mommy's favorites from her college days at IU.
We can't wait to go back!

My first fireworks!

We went to the annual Fishers Freedom Festival Sunday night with Mark and Kari since it is at the park in their neighborhood. We quickly walked to the festival in the smoldering heat and got some fair food to eat. Then, we ran back to Aunt Kari and Uncle Mark's house to try to beat the rain that was coming quick! We almost made it but it started raining in the final stretch. Oh well!
That didn' stop the fireworks that were scheduled to begin later in the evening at dusk. The rain quit soon after it started and everything was a "go". Well, except for me! I fell asleep on Uncle Mark while we were waiting (it was WAY past my bedtime anyways). So, Mommy carried me outside and laid me on the blanket we had set up in the front yard for the fireworks.

Don't worry! I didn't miss the fireworks. I woke up when the first big bang sounded and it didn't even scare me.

I rested my chin on daddy the rest of the show and watched with weary eyes.

Pappaw's Birthday

We celebrated Pappaw's 61st birthday with him this year at a new mexican place that just opened up down the street from our house in Fishers. It is really good and we had lots of fun! They even put a funny hat on Pappaw and sang happy birthday to him in Spanish!! Pappaw kept the hat on the whole time because he liked it so much!
Well, he shared the hat with me a little too!
...and he shared it with Uncle Matt. Austin was scared of it though. Daddy and Austin
I was coloring with Aunt Kari and Uncle Matt
It was a great time! Hope Pappaw had fun!

Pappaw's Visit

Pappaw came to visit to watch Austin for a couple days while his daycare was on vacation. So, Mommy and I went to hang out with them while he was here. The first day we went to the sprinkler park and had a joyous time! Pappaw was so much fun and he wasn't even afraid of the water. He also shared his drinking water with me! ;)
I had fun chasing Austin around with my bucket!
Pappaw had fun chasing us both around.
We even coaxed him under the raining mushroom!
That feels so good! Let's enjoy a snack! Pappaw...open your eyes!

I'm 19 Months Old!!

I am 19 months old now!!! Can you believe it?? Mommy and Daddy sure can't! I am as cute as ever, saying and doing so many things every day. It is a very fun time in the Lieurance household.
Here are a few things you should know about me:
  • My favorite cartoon is Dora and any time I see her anywhere, I shout her name and smile really big!
  • I learned to "climb" out of my crib for the first time today...didn't like it much either! Luckily mommy had pillows on the floor just in case it ever happened.
  • I like to wave and say "bye-bye".
  • I know where my eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hands and feet are. I love to touch my eyes and say "eyes" at the same time. I also point to my baby dolls eyes.
  • I like to sleep with some of my favorite stuffed animal pals.
  • I love to carry around my baby dolls, wear bracelets and carry a purse around the house while talking on the phone! Wonder where I learned that?
  • My favorite food is still blueberries and I also love pizza, raisins, cheese and ice cream!
  • I like to say "shoes" and try to put them on my feet. Sometimes I even try to put them on my own feet!
  • I also like to say "cheese" when mommy wants to take a picture and even when I am eating it.
  • I mimic mommy and daddy too and that makes them smile!
  • I am very independent and like to do lots of things on my own.
  • I am starting to get a little more shy about going to just anyone.
  • I like going to the church nursery on Sundays and playing with my friends.
  • There is so much more but that is just a little of what I am up to these days.

I had my 18 month check-up (a month late) and here are a few of my stats. Watch me grow!!

Weight: 25.1 lbs (58th percentile)

Length: 33-1/2 inches (87th percentile)

Head: 46 cm (30th percentile)

Austin came over to spend the day with Mommy and I yesterday and we had a super great time playing together. Mommy was able to snap a few quick pics!

Mom, I think we are still a little too small for this table!

Father's Day 2.0

Today is Father's Day and it is Daddy's second official day as my daddy! He is the best daddy in the whole wide world and I love him so much! He makes me smile and giggle all the time and he constantly teases me. I think he is pretty awesome!
I got daddy an iPod for Father's Day because I knew he would like it!
Mommy thinks Daddy is pretty awesome too!
We had a cookout to celebrate Father's Day and Pappaw, Aunt Kari, Uncle Matt, Aunt Susan and Austin all came to celebrate the dad's! Aunt Luann and Cousin Jackie stopped by too. Plus, we had some other special guests a little later.
Our other special guests were Sue and her grandkids Jack and Emily. It was so nice to see them!
Jack loves grandpa's dog Mickey!
Emily liked the rocking chair!
I liked seeing them!

It was a super duper day and I hope Daddy, Pappaw and Uncle Matt had a nice time!

Mommy's cousin Jacob got married on Saturday to his long time love - Laura. It was a beautiful ceremony celebrating their love for each other and for God. The reception was so much fun with lots of yummy food, dancing and playing with all of my cousins I don't get to see very often. Some of these pictures are pretty blurry - so mommy apologizes but still wanted to post them. Enjoy!
