Happy Halloween!

This year we went back to the church next to our house for Trunk-or-Treat a few days before Halloween. Then, on Halloween day I had school so we had a party at school. It was FREEZING outside!! That afternoon, we went to Town Hall and treated at the police and fire stations. That night, we went to Grammy's and then to Aunt Kari's houses. That was it. It was too cold to walk around and visit our neighbors or anyone else. Plus, we had tons of candy and we don't really care much at these ages. It is just fun to get dressed up!
Vivi was a butterfly and I was a Fairy Princess

Austin was at Grammy's and Kari's when we were. Can you guess what he is?

Baby bumps! Aunt Susan looked so wacky and fun in her costume!

An early birthday present

Daddy had the best idea for a special birthday present this year!! I just love butterflies and caught them all summer so that is what my party theme was going to be. He looked on line and found a butterfly kit to watch your very own caterpillars turn into butterflies. The whole process takes about 28 days so we got the caterpillars in the mail about a month before my birthday. Sure enough, the first butterfly came out of its cocoon the day before my birthday party! SOOOOO cool!

Day 1: baby caterpillars

2 weeks: caterpillars are starting to climb to the top and change into crystalis

3-4 weeks: we have butterflies!!

Halloween Party at Connor's

My friend Connor had a Halloween party during Fall break this year. We got to dress up, eat candy, paint pumpkins, make Halloween bookmarks, and eat a spider web pizza! It was so much fun. I wore my old Dora costume to the party with wig and all but it came off as soon as we walked in the door so mommy didn't get any pictures. Sorry mom!

I forgot...we also played in a huge leaf pile!

Dad's Night at school

I was so excited for Dad's Night at my preschool because it was all about Daddy and ME!! I got to wear my costume, we decorated cookies and made a spider hat. Daddy and I walked to school like I do with mommy and Vivi. It was dark when we came home so we had to be extra careful. Thanks for going with me Dad!! I love you so much!

Vivi really wanted to go with us!

Great Grandma Cookie's 90th Birthday Weekend

We went to Grandma Cindy's house for the weekend to celebrate Great Grandma Cookie's 90th birthday and Don's 95th birthday. There was a party scheduled for Sunday and lots of family was in town to celebrate as well. We got to meet a couple cousins we hadn't met before who live in Seattle....Catherine and Theo. Catherine is 5 and Theo will be 1 at the beginning of November. We also got to spend time with Aunt Jan (unfortunately Grant and Emma couldn't come this time) and our cousins Sydney, Bella, Aidan and Owen.

We played at Grandma Cindy's house Saturday morning/afternoon but went to Uncle Sid and Aunt Susie's that night for dinner. We played there with all of our cousins and had great food.

Sunday was the big party and that morning we went to the state park in Bluffton to get some fresh air. It was a beautiful day for the party and we are so blessed to celebrate these wonderful milestones with Cookie and Don!!

Enjoy the photos!
We were excited to be at Grandma's house

Jackie played games with us

Daddy played a new game with us....he put us both in a sleeping back and drug us down the stairs!! We LOVED it!!

Then, he carried us back up the stairs and we repeated these steps several times! We have the best daddy!

Jackie brought her friend Taylor to Grandma's and they had a formal dance to get ready for Saturday night. They spent 4 hours in the bathroom curling their hair. They look beautiful, don't they?? I sure thought they were pretty neat!

29 weeks! 2 lbs 15 oz - 52nd percentile

I had another ultrasound today to make sure the baby's growth is still on track. Everything measured perfect and there were no concerns. The baby weighs 2 lbs, 15 oz and is in the 52nd percentile. I am measuring behind on the outside so I will have another ultrasound in a couple months...before giving birth.

Wow!! I thought the second pregnancy went fast....this one is really flying! I can't believe that in less than three months baby #3 will be here. We better get a boy and girl name figured out soon so we are ready to meet this special one. We have a list for each but are undecided at this point if the final name is on either list.

I had to have a Rogam shot as well since my blood type is negative. I will get another one right after giving birth in case the baby has positive blood like daddy. Shots are so much fun. At my last visit I had the flu shot and last week I went in especially for my glucose test and blood draw. Everything is going great though, so we are soooo thankful for that.

Audrey tells me my belly is getting bigger and both girls give my belly hugs and kisses. Audrey likes to talk to the baby. She has said from the beginning that it is going to be a girl but we will have to wait just a little longer to find that out.

This is actually a 27 week belly shot

Vivian Kay is TWO Today!

Hello Kitty was the theme for Vivi's party this year. She hit the jackpot on gifts so thank you everyone who came and helped us celebrate our special, sweetheart! Jimmy Johns catered the events as well as chips, veggies & dip, apples & caramel dip, Grammy's special cake and ice cream.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese's for the first time ever on Sunday, her actual birthday and had a great time as well!

Some of Vivi's favorite things to do right now are carry her purse around...she likes to take it with her everywhere along with a baby doll. She also wears hats A LOT! Audrey pretends that Vivi is her mom when they play...not sure if Vivi knows that but hey. I am so glad they have each other to play with and that they are close in age. It melts my heart watching them hold hands and entertain each other.

The girls take baths together every night which makes it easier on mommy and daddy. Vivi has adjusted to the full-size, big girl bed wonderfully. The girls talk to each other a while before falling asleep but they are doing so awesome! Bed time is still around 7:30...after baths, books, etc. They usually wake up around 7:30 the next morning getting about 12 hours of rest each night. Vivi still takes her afternoon nap...usually from 1-3pm and goes right down.

She doesn't say many two-word phrases yet but we understand her more now. Her favorite things to say are "Nak" for snack, "baby", "mommy", "daddy", "pappaw", "gey" for Wrigley, "dee" for Audrey, etc. She knows a lot more than she says but she also has a big sister to speak for her.

2 year check-up
28 lbs - 68th percentile
35 inches - 80th percentile

Enjoy the pictures!

Audrey put up all of the streamers! ;)

Vivi took a nap and we waited for the party to get started!
