It doesn't take a lot to entertain us when it is hot out....just a hose and each other!

Happy 91st Birthday Grandma Betty

Great Grandma Betty celebrated her 91st birthday so we went for a visit! She looked really good and was happy to see us. Vivi and I didn't even get into too much trouble in her room. We like to get into everything, you know?

We also made sure to visit with Great Grandma Coookie and Don while we were there. We really do need to get to see all of our great grandparents more often. We love them all so much!

BIG NEWS!

Happy New Year everyone!! Baby Lieurance^3 is due January 3rd!!! We couldn't be more excited.

We told mommy's side by having them over for dinner (actually the dinner part was already planned). We all wore party hats and had party blowers. When everyone came in we said "Happy New Year"! I was wearing a 'big sis' shirt and Vivi was wearing a 'little sis' shirt. After dinner, mommy said "Vivi doesn't need this shirt anymore". Then, she took it off and there was a 'Big Sis' shirt underneath. Surprise!!

We had an ultrasound at 9 weeks (end of May) and saw heart beating and baby moving. Everything looked good! Here is baby #3's first picture!

Another Dance Preview Day

We had another preview day at my dance class where the parents get to come in the last 10 minutes of class to watch us dance. Grammy was with us today so she got to come in too. So fun!

Zoo day wth friends

We had another playdate with my "boy"friends from school and this time we went to the zoo. We had so much fun seeing the animals, riding the train for the first time and riding the carousel. We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the beautiful day!

A great day for some adventures

We haven't been to the Children's Museum for a while and wanted to get there to check out some of the new exhibits. We played in the jungle, went fishing, rode on crocodiles in Egypt, and then passed out on the way home! Definitely a successful trip, as always! We love that place. Did you know the Indianapolis Children's Museum is the largest in the country?

18 months old already?!?!

This seems totally crazy...but it is actually true...Vivi is 18 months old! Where does the time go? We thought our lives had changed when we had one baby, but the second one definitely changes it again....for the better!

It is great that Audrey and Vivian are so close together....at least we think so. They are starting to play together more....and argue with each other. Vivi knows when she is not supposed to be doing something, but is certainly testing her limits. She is still climbing...especially on the dining room table so Nick had to "tie" the chairs up when we are not using them. She likes to climb up to my work laptop and pretend she is me working.

She is running and loves to be chased....just like big sis still does. She laughs so much when you tickle her, beautiful little cackles and a HUGE smile! She just started getting her molars in so that has been fun. I know she has two and think there are three but she won't let me check. She loves brushing her teeth like big sis, except when I start to help her.

She is a wondeful sleeper. We went down to one nap a couple months ago and the adjustment was pretty easy for her. She is ready for bed around 7:30 after her story, which she doesn't care to listen much to yet but she is getting more interested. She is starting to point out the pictures you ask her on the page and tries to say more and more everyday.

We took her pacifier away just now, which we thought would be a difficult transition for her since she was extremely attached, but it has been easy so far. Nick cut the top of one of them off and she didn't want that one after that. I just took them all away "cold turkey" like we did with Audrey and I think that is what works best around here. She has cried more at night before falling asleep but it is nothing too dramatic!

Her hair is really starting to grow like crazy and I do pigtails almost every day...love them! They really make her look like a little girl.

She is not quite the laid-back baby she used to be because the tantrums are really starting up. She whips her head back and throws her whole body on the ground if she doesn't get what she wants. She also picks up a lot of habits from her sister, good and bad. ;)

She loves to dance, clap and wiggle her little self when there is music playing. She only fell/climbed out of her crib once (knock on wood) and let's us know when she is ready to get out. Audrey was less than two months older than Vivi is now and moved to her big girl bed. Not sure we will move Vivi up that quickly this time since we don't have to.

We went to the doctor for her check-up and here are her stats:

Weight: 24lbs (43%)
Length: 32.5in (71%)
Head: 48cm (83%)

We actually did some bloodwork this time as well because Vivi has had a strangely low temperature at night....I'm talking very low....95.7...it was even 94.4. Yikes!! So, we have been monitoring it all month and decided it was best to have her blood drawn to make sure it is not her thyroid. One of her reflexes was off a bit as well which can be related. Hopefully it is nothing but once we get the results I will post.

We are just sooooo, truly blessed to have a second baby girl come into our lives. She is a pure joy and we love her so much!

Easter at Grammy's

We celebrated Easter at Grammy's a week late this year since she had to work on Easter. We were all there and had a yummy dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, homemade noodles, homemade pies, rolls, and lots of other yummies! Grammy really does go all out! She spoiled us rotten with an awesome Easter Egg hunt...although it wasn't just eggs that were hiding...there were clothes, toys and other bigger items too. Thanks so much, Grammy!! We love you!

Homemade Movie Theater

Mommy went to a bowling charity event so daddy made us a homemade movie theater at home. Vivi and I loved it! Our daddy is so fun and creative!

Easter weekend 2012

We spent Easter weekend at Grandma Cindy's. It started on Saturday morning with a huge egg hunt at Southern Wells (where mommy and daddy went to school). Pappaw met us there as well as Grandma Cindy. We found so many eggs and had so much fun!

Next, we went to Bummy's and took it to Grandma's for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we spent most of it outside. We took wagon rides with the mower, mommy and daddy raced each other around the pond (Daddy totally won!!), we looked at Jackie's new pig and we took a LONG walk!

Sunday, we went to Calvary Lutheran Church with Great Grandma Susie and Wilbur. This is the church mommy grew up going to and she still knew the majority of people there. The service was long (an hour and 45 minutes) but it was a good one and worth celebrating.

After church, we went back to Grandma Cindy's for a delicious lunch or pork tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, yummy salad, rolls and lots of pie and muffins. Great Grandma Cookie, Don and Great Grandma Betty was there as well.

Before we headed for home, we had another egg hunt outside at Grandma's. Jackie helped us find the goodies. It was a great Easter for sure!!

Enjoy the pictures (they are not all in the right order because Blogspot has changed some settings and makes it almost impossible to fix!! Still working on it!)
