Chocolate Cupcakes

I helped mommy with the prep work to make a sweet treat! We were craving some cake so we made chocolate cupcakes with homemade chocolate frosting. NUMMY!

Vivi was excited to watch us make the goodies! I helped clean up too! ;)

I'm a Princess, You're a Princess

I just love dressing up in my princess dresses these days. In fact, for the past week I have asked to put on a princess dress every day. I just love it!! I wanted mommy to be a princess also. "Mommy, you wanna princess too?" OF COURSE!!

I even have a magic wand...

Best Birthday Party EVER!

Our neighbor Cooper turns 2 this month and he invited us to his birthday party. It was the coolest because it was at a roller skating rink! I had never been roller skating before but I LOVED it!! I only fell once because mommy helped me the rest of the time. Daddy tried to help me but he wasn't too sure of his own natural skating abilities!

It was like stepping back into the Eighties for mom and dad because it took them back to their junior high days when they went on field trips to these kinds of places. The skates were the same, music the same, video/arcade games and even the snack bar menu was the same. They made suicides for 15 cents extra! Wow!

Here in the background is the claw game. Daddy helps we stroll around on my roller skates for the first time in my life! Don't worry, he is wearing his tennis shoes.

Daddy and Vivi watched from the sidelines mostly.

All of the neon lights made the picture quality kind of poor but you can still see we are having tons of fun! When mommy carried we went skated really "past"!

So, so, so fun....for mommy too!

Aren't these skates cool? They just slipped on right over my shoes and they had brakes built in so they could be on all the time to make them a little safer.

Mommy and Vivi got to watch Daddy attempt to skate with me.

Daddy gave up quickly and we played video games instead....he put the money in for this racecar game but didn't let me take the wheel for fear I would wreck. I wasn't too happy about that!

Daddy had fun pretending he was a teenager again! Check out his wheels! (By the way....I do say "check it out" now. The other day, we were walking on the sidewalk and I told mommy to "check out that rock" in our landscaping. I am too funny!)

I am lightning fast!

I pretended to play the video games and instead took all of the guns out and threw them on the floor. Isn't that how you are supposed to play?

You know it was a super awesome party when you fall asleep as soon as you get in the car to go home....even after having just consumed about a pound of sugar from the yummy birthday cake frosting! Thanks neighbor Ahnerts for such a fantastic time!

Vivi is just such a happy baby. She is really starting to enjoy her door jumper and just smiles all the time. Wanted to share a few recent pics of our super sweet girl!

Dora and Diego at the Children's Museum!!!

As you know, Dora and Diego are my absolute favorite cartoons and I talk about them all the time. Mommy and I even pretend that we are them most days. I call her Alysia and she calls me Diego, or I call her Dora and she calls me Boots. I have a wild imagination and we go on adventures in our own house to rescue animals or I ride on the hippo's (mommy's) back to get around, etc.

We are so lucky and got a free Children's Museum membership for a year from one of mommy's work vendors and we couldn't wait to use it! Mommy also got another year membership to the zoo from the same vendor....so fortunate! Anyway, a new exhibit just opened at the museum featuring Dora and Diego. OMG!! What a super duper idea! We couldn't wait to get there so mommy took Vivi and I for a couple of hours.

There are lots of other exhibits and fun things to do there but this was my favorite, of course. We are planning to go back for visits a lot in the next year, so stay tuned for pictures of us visiting other exciting exhibits!

This was a ship and you could put tokens in the piggy banks. Really liked this ship! There were also telescopes on the ship. I really liked this because I have been using about everything as a telescope at home lately....like my echo microphone is a "telescope", or my magic wand , jump "rote" or flute. I am a great ship captain! Hold on "tike" everyone!

Hungry Hippos??

We busted out some of the games mommy bought for Christmas in 2009 recently since I am getting big enough to enjoy them! Here is the Hungry Hippos game! I like this one a lot. I think there should be an "Oxpecker" on the Hippos back eating the bugs off of him....wonder where I got that one....hmmm! Diego! ;)
