Happy Anniversary #8 PLUS 10

Today, mommy and daddy have been together for 18 years!! Happy Anniversary mommy and daddy! ;)

TWO BIG GIRLS!!!

Here is the final product! Our bunk beds are complete and all moved in. We are so excited to sleep in them. Vivi will have to wait until we get the bed rail up but that will only be a couple of nights. Audrey loves the top bunk and the ladder easily comes off and on so that it can be down during the day so our little climber (Vivi) doesn't get up on the top bunk and fall. So exciting!!!

Once we got the railing on for Vivi she transitioned from the crib like a pro! Such a relief since they have always been such good sleepers on their own. We weren't sure what to expect. Now, the nursery can be for the new baby in a few months! We are so proud of our girls!!

A first kiss at the CMI!

We went to the Children's Museum with our friend Connor, his mommy and baby brother Cooper. After our carousel ride and some fun in the playzone, I decided it was the right moment to give my friend a kiss! ha!! So hilarious!!

Helping Daddy

Ok, I have been sleeping with my mattress on the floor since mid-August so that daddy can start working on our new bunk beds. We have so much fun playing on the mattress and I like sleeping on it like this too. Daddy got a really good start on the bed and then it took just under a month to be complete. We didn't want to move it in until after the new carpet was in anyways. Here is some of the progress...

He cut apart my old canopy bed and modified it a bunch to make the bunk beds. He is amazingly talented and we are so blessed!

I got to help stain the underneath parts.

Enough work for one day....now, it is playtime!

New carpet

Ok, finally we are getting new carpet and getting rid of the dark, charcoal gray stuff we moved in with. Woohoo! Here are some pictures of the old stuff and then we get into progress of laying new and the new stuff!! We love it and would refer the people we bought it from to anyone around Indy. They were great and we definitely shopped around!

Wine & Canvas

Mommy had a girls night out with some of our preschool mom friends. They went to 'Wine & Canvas' to paint a pretty picture...it was so much fun!

Brushing my sister's teeth

I insisted on brushing my sister's teeth for her one night and it was hilarious. We both were cracking up!

Flying kites with Daddy

It was a beautiful day and perfect for flying kites, but we didn't have any. Daddy made it our mission to find some...we went to Target, Walmart, Toys R' Us and then finally found some at Menards of all places. Guess kite flying is not a Fall thing to do. Oh well! We stocked up since they were on clearance and we didn't know how long they would last. They actually worked really well and mine stayed up for a long time. It was fun to run around with it and then I handed it off to mommy. Daddy even got Vivi's kite up and she was flying it "for a little".

My First Day of Preschool

Today is my first day of preschool and I can't wait. Some of my friends from last year are in my class again so that will make it easier for me and for mommy! This year I am a "Monkey"! That is the name of my classroom. On Mondays I have lunch bunch so I am at school from 9:15am until 1pm. On Wednesdays I only go for school so I get there at 9:15 and leave at 11:30. We will walk again this year since my school is right down the street from our house! Woohoo! I know it is going to be a great year!

Happy Anniversary #8

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary a day early. It started out with us girls making daddy french toast for breakfast with heart-shaped strawberries! It ended with Pappaw babysitting (thanks so much pappaw), and mommy and daddy got a date night. They went to see a movie (Hope Springs with Tommy Lee Jones, Steve Carell and Meryl Streep) and then to dinner at Harry & Izzy's. It was a great day for all of us!
