Special friends...

We didn't have anything planned today but it sure did turn out great! First, Aunt Susan called and said they would come and play with us. Then, while they were here mommy's friend Nichole called and said she and her kiddos were in the area and would love to stop to see us. So, we had a little party in the afternoon with some special visitors!

Mommy and Blythe, along with Gavin and Susan went to a support group and also got to spend some time with Kelly Reiff (a friend from childhood) there. Here are all of their new babies.

Gavin and Leah are only a day apart in the same hospital too. Leah's daddy is also a good childhood friend (Ben Reiff) from Calvary Lutheran

Uncle Jim's wedding

What a fun-filled day! Our Great Uncle Jim (Grammy's brother, not Pappaw's brother because they both have a brother Jim) got married to his sweetheart, Jill, at their house just down the road from where mommy grew up. It was in the back yard and was very laid back and had a country theme. We were excited to share their special moment with them and it was a beautiful April Saturday.

After the wedding, we stopped by Pappaw's to visit with him for a little bit. Then, we went to Adela and Aiden's house to see their bee-hives, goats and chickens.

My new hair cut!

I have a super tender head and we were so tired of all of the "rats" in my hair after my bath. I really don't like it to be brushed and it was a constant battle to get out the tangles. Mommy took a good 5-6 inches and I couldn't have been more excited about it. What do you think?

A Trampoline!

Vivi and I went with Daddy to get a basketball goal but we came home with a new trampoline too! Daddy is a sucker! ;) He couldn't wait to put it together so he did so in the rain....and the dark. We had some happy little girls come the next morning though.

Vivi is super trouble

What a day! Vivi is super ornery right now and you really have to keep an eye on her. Today, she wrote on all of the walls (Audrey helped), filled the bathroom sink with toothpste and squirted paint (thankfully crayola washable paint) on the carpet in a few places. She still gets into everything and one of her favorite things to do is get into mommy's purse (by dumping it out on the floor) or the diaper bag in search of candy. She has some sweet tooth!!

We also decided to remove the rail from her big-girl bed because she pretty much had it destroyed and it wasn't serving much purpose in it's current state.

Vivi's 2.5 Checkup

Per my previous post, you know how ornery Vivi can be. We just love her fun personality and the way she cracks us up multiple times in one day. Her favorite food is spaghetti and she loves anything sweet....especially sips of daddy's coke...good job, Nick! She is full of energy and has her own opinion. She wants to do everything herself and let's you know it. She sure has changed a lot in the past 6 months... she went from a super laid back baby to a crazy, ornery toddler. She also gained 1.6 pounds and grew half an inch. We love you Vivian Kay!
