Mommy's 30th Birthday / Chicago

For Mommy's 30th birthday Daddy asked her what she wanted to do and she said "how about a trip to Chicago?" So, that is what we did. I have only been there one other time which is crazy since mommy and daddy used to live there. I went when I was 2 1/2 months old - last February. This time, we made a long weekend out of it and it was jam-packed full of fun! We didn't get to see all of mommy and daddy's old friends that live there but we got to see quite a few.
Our first stop was at Giordano's, our favorite Chicago Stuffed Pizza place in the suburbs. We stayed in Willowbrook that night which is close to mommy and daddy's old house. The next morning we stopped by their old neighbor's house, Harold, to say hi. It had been two years since they had seen him and he is 85. He didn't even know I existed. :)
I was so excited to try stuffed pizza, I just "stuffed" myself as fast as I could! That was a long car ride.

We cleaned our plates!

Daddy really liked it too! Don't worry, we didn't really finish that WHOLE pizza between the three of us.

I can't wait until my next trip! Chicago Style gets two thumbs up!
After visiting with their old neighbors, we quickly stopped at a few other neighborhood favorites. Daddy hitched a ride with his old boss to his old workplace in Chicago. So, he left mommy and I with the camera and we went to mommy's old workplace, PEI, for lunch. We got to see a bunch of her old co-workers and eat with them. Mommy and I had Portillos for lunch. I had my first Portillos hot dog!
Here I am with Tom and Bill. Bill has three boys of his own. Tom is a bachelor with no children, although he has a funny story about that one.

Here I am with Peter. He is so sweet and just might be my future boyfriend!! He is Michael and Irene's son. Michael works at PEI and his wife was mommy and daddy's realtor when they moved.

Just taking it all in!

Amanda is holding me and that is Julia next to her. Then, there is Michael holding his 8 month old baby girl, Angie. She is such a CUTIE!! Amanda helped organize the whole lunch - thanks Amanda!!

Here I am with Dave!
Here's Tom again! He is really silly!

This is Roger

Peter, Mommy and I. I kept giving Peter hugs because I liked him so much!

Here I am with Bonny. Bonny also has three boys of her own. She is really nice!

This is Tim. He has a baby girl named Kaylee who is 4 months old but she couldn't make it in for lunch....bummer!
After we left PEI, mommy and I picked up daddy at his old workplace. Unfortunately, we forgot to take the camera in to get some pictures there. :( Daddy sure had a good time there though. I got to meet a bunch of people there too!
Next, we stopped at another favorite pizza place in Wicker Park (in Chicago) called Piece. We picked it up on our way to the Harrisons. They live in Andersonville which is a neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. I stayed with them the next two nights and had a super good time!
Here is my friend, Max! He is 8 months old already and crawling all over the place. He smiles all the time!! He might be another future boyfriend of mine too! ;)

Of course, I had to show Max a few of my tricks. I loved exploring a new place and it didn't take me long to make myself comfortable. Thanks Emily and Justin!

Since it was a sleepover, mommy packed our matching PJs!

Justin was the playtime monitor!

I even got to take a bath with Max! This was his first bath with another baby and we had a lot of fun playing.

Emily and Mommy
Mommy and Daddy only stayed at the Harrison's the first night because they were going to have a "date night" in Chicago to celebrate mommy's big birthday! They stayed at the W Hotel on Lakeshore Drive, went shopping and ate dinner at their favorite steak place - Wildfire. They had so much fun!

Mommy wanted me to say this is a terrible picture that the waiter took but oh well!

We had such a wonderful trip! Thanks to everyone we visited who made it so much fun. Can't wait until next time to see you again and hopefully those we missed this time. :)
